Our story

We began with a simple wish, to belong to the books we love.

There is a quiet pleasure in opening a book and finding it marked as your own. A line that reads From the Library of, and then your name, pressed cleanly into the page. It is the kind of detail that used to live in old libraries and family studies; the kind that turns a paperback into something worth handing down.

We started Embosserie to bring that feeling back. Not as a novelty, but as a craft, a small maison devoted to a single, beautiful object. We don’t think of what we make as stationery. We think of it as an heirloom in waiting: made to be used for years, and passed on long after that.

The craft

Made by hand, and tested by hand.

Every embosser is assembled by hand and weighted to sit comfortably in the palm. Before any piece leaves us, we press it ourselves, a real test impression on real paper, to be certain the seal lands crisp and even. If it doesn’t meet the mark, it doesn’t ship.

Built and finished by hand, so the action feels solid and the seal sits true.

Each embosser is pressed and inspected before it ships, quality you feel on the first page.

Personalised to your name, made to order.

No two embossers are quite the same, because no two are made before they’re ordered. Each one is personalised with your name and made to order, your seal, cut for you and no one else. Whether it reads From the Library of or simply your initials, the result is unmistakably yours.
